Everyone knows I'm a big fan of independent wrestling and more so Ring of Honor but for a number of years now, there has been a promotion out of California by the name of Pro Wrestling Guerrilla and they have produced shows that have been off the charts for great wrestling. Over the years they have used the biggest names in independent wrestling over the years including those involved in mainstream wrestling today, CM Punk, Bryan Danielson (Daniel Bryan), AJ Styles & Samoa Joe. I think PWG is a true alternative to the mainstream promotions, as mentioned, I am a big fan of ROH but there are many, and it seems the amount is growing of people who are falling out of love with ROH and yet, are big fans of PWG. Now let's not forget, PWG uses a lot of ROH workers including world champion Davey Richards plus Eddie Edwards, Roderick Strong, Adam Cole, Kyle O'Reilly and The Young Bucks. Also, how could I not mention the one and only Kevin Steen, he looks at PWG as his home promotion, that is where he mainly plied his trade while on hiatus from ROH. PWG offer a different type of product, the fans make their shows come across totally different.There are many great PWG DVD's you could go out and try to get your hands on but there is just way too many, what I suggest is you try and locate some DVD's from PWG called PWG Sells Out, there are 2 Volumes of these, 3 discs each. The DVD's are very hard to get hold of but worth it if you can track them down.
Two of my favourite matches of 2011 took place in PWG and that was at the Steen Wolf show, first off FutureShock (Adam Cole & Kyle O'Reilly) vs. The Young Bucks and PWG Champion Kevin Steen vs. El Generico in a ladder match. This DVD will be easier to get hold of, if you're a wrestling fan, you WILL NOT regret it.
